Don't wait for permission to succeed!

So, you want to be a leader.  That is easy enough.  Have integrity.  Have a positive attitude.  Communicate.  Communicate.  Communicate.

Integrity is the single most important leadership quality.  More than genius, more than charisma, and more than courage, integrity defines a great leader.  Simply put, integrity is nothing more than being honest with yourself and others, and doing what you say you are going to do.

Integrity is genius.  Being true to your principles, true to yourself, is the smartest thing you can do.  People with integrity are genuine.  They are unique.  They are one-of-a-kind and they understand that everyone else is, as well.  They are inclusive and they value diversity.  They do not dictate.  They collaborate.

Integrity is charisma.  When you are true to your principles, you have consancy of purpose that transcends market fluctuations.  You stand for something and you are consistent.  People are drawn to honest and steadfast leaders.

Integrity is courage.  Principle-centered leaders do not falter in the face of adversity.  They are not distracted by quick fixes or get-rich-schemes.  Leaders with integrity do the right thing.  They are willing to make the tough decisions.  They relish the opportunity to roll up their sleeves andface challenges head on.

Cultivate a positive attitude and reap the benefits.  Positive leaders have bulletproof self-esteem.  Their self-worth is not based on thier accomplishments but their principles.  Positive leaders attract better talent.  Positive leaders are deliberate and decisive in their pursuit of their goals.  Positive leaders hit more home runs.  They are not afraid of failure and are more willing to swing for the fence.  Positive leaders capitalize on lucky breaks.  Negative thinkers are not able to capitalize on lucky breaks, because they don't recognize them.

Effective communication is the key to building shared vision.  Efficient comunication is vital to generating and maintaining momentum.  Empathetic communication is fundamental to building team morale.  Communicate.  Communicate.  Communicate.  As a leader, you cannot over-communicate.
