I was born in Angola in 1964, and educated in Portugal, a small west European country with a very open economy. I started my professional life working in the automotive industry first, and then in chemical industry.

Since 1994 I work as trainer, consultant and auditor to the industry. I have a passion for performance improvement and believe that organizations waste too many resources with unnecessary trivial things. Finding those wastes, breaking old patterns, and aligning people and organizations with a vision of the future are a fantastic opportunity to create the future.

Retired? birdwatcher and amateur farmer, I currently live in Estarreja, Portugal, with my wife Fátima, my daughter Inês, my son Rodrigo and a dog named Nina.
